As a company related to the medical imaging industry, LnkMed feels it is necessary to let everyone know about it. This article briefly introduces the knowledge related to medical imaging and how LnkMed contributes to this industry through its own development.
Medical imaging, also known as radiology, is the field of medicine in which medical professionals recreate various images of parts of the body for diagnostic or treatment purposes. Medical imaging procedures include non-invasive tests that allow doctors to diagnose injuries and diseases without being intrusive. The medical imaging discipline is highly integrated with a wide range of areas coverage.
There are several types of imaging tests that help the doctor make an accurate diagnosis and choose the ideal treatment plan:X-rays, Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), Ultrasounds, Endoscopy, Tactile imaging, Computerized tomography (CT scan) , Angiography and so on. Each imaging test uses different technology to create images that help your doctor identify certain medical complications. Let’s talk more about X-rays, MRI, and CT.
X-ray: X-ray imaging works by passing an energy beam through a part of your body. Your bones or other body parts will block some of the X-ray beams from passing through. That makes their shapes appear on the detectors used to capture the beams. The detector turns the X-rays into a digital image for a radiologist to look at.
MRI: MRI is a type of scan that uses strong magnetic fields and radio waves to produce detailed images of the inside of the body. It is particularly useful for diagnosing diseases of the brain, spine, organs, and joints. Most MRI machines are large, tube-shaped magnets. When you lie inside an MRI machine, the magnetic field inside works with radio waves and hydrogen atoms in your body to create cross-sectional images — like slices in a loaf of bread.
CT: A CT scan generates high-quality, detailed images of the body. It’s a more powerful and sophisticated x-ray that takes a 360-degree image of the spine, vertebrae and internal organs. The doctor see your body structures more clearly on the CT scan by injecting the contrast media into the patient’s blood. A CT scan creates detailed, quality images of bones, blood vessels, soft tissue and organs and may be used to help the doctor diagnose medical conditions such as Appendicitis, Cancer, Trauma, Heart disease, Musculoskeletal disorders, and Infectious diseases. CT scans are also used to detect tumors, and to evaluate lung or chest problems.
CT scans are typically more expensive than x-rays and aren’t always readily available at rural or small hospitals.
Then how can LnkMed contribute to radiology now and in the future?
As one of the players in the field of radiology, LnkMed is helping to improve the accuracy of images and benefit patients by providing medical staff with more efficient and safer high pressure injectors. LnkMed’s CT(CT single and double head injector), MRI injector and Angiography injector contrast media injectors works well at simplifying operation, increasing safety and improving image accuracy(For more product information, please click on the next article: Introduction to LnkMed CT contrast media injector.). Its excellent appearance and functional design are one of the reasons why our products are overwhelmingly loved by customers all over the world.
In the future, LnkMed will always regard creating high-quality products and providing humanistic care as its responsibility, and will continue to increase investment in the research and development of high pressure injectors to meet customer needs. Only by doing this can we truly contribute to the development of radiology.
